2 tablespoons melted butter
2 teaspoons Hidden Valley® Original Ranch® Salad Dressing and Seasoning Mix

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 425 degrees F. Place chicken breasts into a Glad® sandwich bag and pound until they are 3/4 of an inch thick .
  • Place the chicken breasts in a baking dish to fit. Brush with the melted butter or olive oil on both sides. Sprinkle or shake the ranch seasoning mix over the chicken on both sides. If there is any remaining butter, drizzle over the seasoned chicken.

This entire recipe uses ingredients we usually have in our pantry. The baking takes about 25 minutes so you have a delicious dinner in under 30 minutes. Steam some broccoli on the side, make a nice salad or better yet, try our Slow Cooker Cheddar Bacon Ranch Potatoes and youve got a simple, quick dinner for the family.

If youd like to make it a one pan dinner, add some carrots, broccoli or cauliflower to the pan and bake everything off in one which makes this dinner even better and makes for easy clean up.

Weve used butter for this recipe, because we love butter, but if you like, feel free to go ahead and swap it with olive oil. And you can easily skip the garlic, but I wouldnt recommend it. You dont need flour or crackers for a crispy crust just a nice mix of finely grated parmesan and cheddar which bubbles up in the oven and becomes beautifully crispy. I hope youre not sick of chicken recipes yet, because theyre our favorite! I love Baked Chicken recipes the most because they are healthier than frying and usually take just minutes to put together. This recipe is just that simple, quick and so delicious.

The breading on the chicken is really light, and its only made up of a small handful of ingredients. There arent any crazy concoctions of seasoningsjust panko, parmesan cheese, garlic salt, lemon pepper, and the dry Hidden Valley ranch seasoning.

If you didnt have garlic salt and lemon pepper, you could probably get away with regular salt and pepper, because the ranch is what really carries the flavor! Its the perfect savory breading to bring out the flavor in the chicken. Even though the ranch chicken was great to eat by itself, Im thinking I need to chop it up and have it in a salad next time .

How To Make Baked Ranch Chicken

This baked ranch chicken recipe really only requires about 5 minutes of prep work before popping it in the oven!

COAT. Put the Panko bread crumbs, parmesan cheese, garlic salt, lemon pepper, and Hidden Valley Mix in a bowl and mix until everything is well combined. Melt 2 TB butter and dip chicken breasts in butter and then dip in mixture of crumbs.

BAKE/BROIL. Placed coated chicken breasts in a greased pan. Top with 2 TB melted butter. Bake at 350 for 40-45 minutes. I baked for 40 minutes and then broiled on HIGH for the last 5-7 minutes to brown the panko a bit.

Note: Broiling applies intense and direct heat to the food from the top of the oven, which in this case helps add an extra level of crispness to the breading on the ranch chicken.

1 pkg. Hidden Valley Ranch mix. 2 tbsp. bacon bits, cooked. Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Sprinkle cheese in pie crust. Whisk eggs until frothy. Add other ingredients and mix. Pour over cheese. Bake 15 minutes. Reduce heat to 350 degrees bake 15 to 20 minutes, until center is set. Cool. Serves 8.

1 cup Ranch dressing 1 1/2 to 2 cups plain bread crumbs. dash of salt, pepper, paprika. Wash chicken, combine salt, pepper, paprika and bread crumbs. Dip chicken in Ranch dressing, then in bread crumb mix. Place on baking sheet. Bake at 375°F for 1 hour and 15 minutes. Serves 4.

Meanwhile, Preheat oven to 450°. Coat 9 x 13 inch baking sheet with Pam. Mix potato flakes, paprika, parsley flakes and garlic powder in a flat dish. Remove marinated chicken pieces from ranch marinade, then roll in potato flake mixture, coating thoroughly. Arrange on baking sheet, then salt and pepper to taste.

Whisk juice and dressing mix together. Marinate chicken in 1/2 of mixture. Combine cornstarch and water with rest of juice mixture in a saucepan and cook until thick. Baste chicken with this mixture while baking. Bake thawed chicken at 350 degrees for 50 to 60 minutes.

Can You Use Homemade Ranch Seasoning

Yep! If you have your own recipe for ranch, by all means, go for it! Ranch seasoning is essentially garlic powder, onion powder, salt, dill, pepper, and maybe some parsley! About a teaspoon of each should be good! Use a ½ tsp of salt and dill then do a taste test.

Dill alone can be somewhat strong so it doesnt take a lot. Remember you can always add more if needed, so go easy to start with!
