Bring Back Ben And Jerry’s Baked Alaska

âBakedâ? Alaska Sundae | Ben & Jerry’s

Baked Alaska – easily one of the greatest ice cream flavours ever created by the brilliance, genius, and creativity of the Vermont legends we know today as Ben and Jerry.

Described by the ice cream kings themselves as: “Vanilla Ice Cream with a Marshmallow Swirl & White Chocolatey Polar Bear Shaped Chunks”, it was one of the UK’s favourite flavours from 2006-2015. Today, it rests unceremoniously in the flavour graveyard, without even a head stone to mark the beloved flavour in its time in the discontinued afterlife.

This petition goes out, not only from the ice cream connoisseurs of Great Britain, but of all those around the world, who still dream of the day they too may be able to enjoy the life changing, tongue altering, and world broadening experience that is the poetic flavour of Baked Alaska. We all admire Ben and Jerry’s, not only for their delicious and creative recipes, but also as a company that commits itself to some of the largest social causes around the world. From climate change to free and fair elections, Ben and Jerry’s cares about social justice and equality in every country and corner of the earth.

Today we ask them, as a global community, to bring back into this world the greatest flavour they’ve ever made. We ask not only for ourselves, but for all generations to come: BRING BACK BAKED ALASKA!

Original Flavors And Sundaes

The most popular Ben & Jerry’s flavour had been “Cherry Garcia” for more than a decade until 2013 when a survey taken by the general public found Cookie Dough was the winner with 60% and in last place was Chocolate Chip Brownie with 8.5%. The company website states that the most popular flavor is “Half Baked”, with “Cherry Garcia” placing second, and “Chocolate Fudge Brownie” following in third. It is unclear to what degree the popularity of flavours reflects their availability. In the United Kingdom, “Cherry Garcia” ice cream has disappeared from supermarkets, and those who desire it must obtain it from a Ben & Jerry’s Scoop Shop.

The “Vermonster” is a large ice cream sundae served in a “Vermonster Bucket” in Ben & Jerry’s “scoop shops.” Its ingredients are 20 scoops of ice cream, 4 bananas, 4 ladles of hot fudge, 3 chocolate chip cookies, 1 chocolate fudge brownie, 10 scoops of walnuts, 2 scoops each of any 4 toppings, and whipped cream. It contains 14,000 calories , and 500 grams of fat. Since 2009, the Vermonster Challenge is an annual charity event held by Ben & Jerry’s in which teams of four compete to finish a Vermonster and win free ice cream for a year.

On March 13, 2012, Ben & Jerry’s announced it would be changing the name of one of its ice cream flavors in the UK in support of equal marriage rights for same-sex couples. “Oh! My! Apple Pie!” would become “Apple-y Ever After” and tubs would feature a gay couple atop a wedding cake decorated with rainbows.

O Nosso Gelado De Baunilha Com Swirls De Marshmallow E Chocolate Branco Em Forma De Ursos Polares

A mensagem dos ursos polares deste pint é bem clara: “keep it cool!”
