As an avid lover ofcafes and coffee shops, I make it a goal of mine to visit new places that fall withinthis lane. I am a visual person always drawing inspiration from the spacesaround me and the character they radiate. As one can probably guess, the firstthing I notice when trying a new restaurant is the setting. What is the colorpalette? How does it make me feel? Is there a certain aesthetic that lends asense of home to the guests? These are the kinds of questions I ask myself and aftermy experience with Goddess and The Baker I can confidently say I found another gem.

Located in the Corners of Brookfield. Goddess and The Baker is a modern-day gourmet eatery that serves an extensive range of food. From breakfast to handmade sandwiches and salads to scrumptious baked goods, their café welcomes your heart with everything it desires.

Speaking of bites I am sure youve been wondering how is the food?!? As I briefly mentioned, the menu is quite versatile making it friendly to anyone who dines there. Seeing as they have a creative coffee selection, I think its only fair I start with beverages.

Goddess And The Baker

Goddess and the Baker is a wildly popular fast casual cafe and restaurant with several locations in Chicago, IL and Brookfield, WI. The brand is a fusion of midcentury modern glam, a little bit of 80s rock, lipstick on the mirror, and the sassy spirit of owner and Goddess, Debbie Sharpe. In 2015, the idea to open a cafe-inspired spin-off of Goddess and the Grocer was born out of the Goddesss love for good coffee, good baked goods, and great food. Their culture is fun with a welcoming vibe, a warm and inviting meeting place where guests could enjoy a good coffee, breakfast, sandwich , and dessert then leave with a smile on their face.

Pulling cues from Debbies catering experience with actual rockstars, we created gold patterns that played off elements of the space. The geometric soffit has a midcentury feel much like the vibe of the furniture, the color blue, and hanging light fixtures.

Some of the Goddess locations started transitioning their printed hanging menu boards to digital. This makes updating the menu a breeze, although we do love the look of the brush lettering on actual tangible boards.

Why Brookfield

The Baker and the Beauty – Trailer

Chelsea Roessler, director of marketing and events at The Corners of Brookfield, said the CEO of IM Properties in Chicago, which is the developer of The Corners of Brookfield, got his morning latte at Goddess and The Baker and fell in love with the space.

Everything from the décor to the food is so well thought out, Roessler said.

Mizrahi said The Corners made a compelling argument for them to bring their business to Brookfield.

We could get a local chain to come, Roessler said. But, it was like Lets get something extra special.

The shop will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. weekdays, and 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

Goddess and The Baker has two Chicago locations, and will be opening a third in River North within the next three months, Mizrahi said. The Goddess and Grocer has four locations and Sharpe still does backstage catering as The Goddess Rocks.
