UVMC Employee Assistance Program provides comprehensive EAP services that help to resolve personal problems in a confidential manner. The UVMC EAP is concerned with the dignity of each employee, a healthy work environment, and a timely and positive response to your needs and the needs of your family.

With the UVMC Employee Assistance Program, you or your family members can obtain confidential assessment, short-term counseling and referral services for a wide range of problems which can affect employee morale and productivity.

The EAP maintains confidential records that are not part of personnel files. Federal and state laws require the EAP clients written approval in order to release any information.

Cost? EAP services are paid for by the employer. There is no charge to you for direct EAP services. In cases of referral for ongoing counseling/specialized treatment, we can assist you in understanding your health insurance coverage or self-pay costs.

Students Win Insurance Scholarships

SIDNEY Three area insurance agencies recently awarded $1,000 scholarships to local students.

The agencies affiliated with one another include Ruese Insurance in Sidney, McColloch-Baker Insurance in Piqua, and Ratermann Insurance in Fort Loramie.

Ruese Insurance scholarship recipients include Kyle Szwajkos, a graduate of Christian Academy, Travis Thornton, of Lehman Catholic High School, and Alexis Hall, of Sidney High School. Szwajkos, the son of Brian and Becky Szwajkos, is majoring in psychology at Bowling Green State University., Thornton also attends BGSU and is studying public relations. He is the son of Thomas and Angela Thornton. Hall, daughter of Holly and Dwayne Hall, is a zoology major at the Ohio State University.

McColloch-Baker Insurance recipients include Lyric Wyan, a Piqua High School graduate, and Molly Harshbarger, a graduate of the Upper Valley Career Center. Wyan, the daughter of Melodie Wyan-Casey, attends Pace University, and is studying forensic sciences. Harshbarger, the daughter of Jack and Dee Dee Harshbarger, majors in agriculture education at Wilmington College.

The Ratermann Insurance recipient is Fort Loramie High School graduate Rachel Bollheimer. She is studying business and Spanish at Ohio University. Her parents are Mike and Ann Bollheimer.

Uniting Our Community Through The Art Of Music

what is it?

Hosted by the Piqua Arts Council and Mainstreet Piqua, the famous Rock Piqua! is a combination of various FREE concerts open to the entire community. In the past, Rock Piqua! has been composed of three free concerts taking place throughout the summer months. Since 2021, the event has become an all-day Food Truck & Music Festival.

The Festival features a full day of live entertainment from some of our regions greatest bands, multiple food trucks, craft and domestic beer from local breweries, and a day of celebrating the art of music with friends and family of the great Piqua community and beyond.

The 2022 Rock Piqua Food Truck & Music Festival takes place on Saturday, June 18 from 3pm to 11pm held in Downtown Piqua. Join us… Enjoy a summer day celebrating the art of music, great food, an ice cold beer and, most importantly, the ability to gather together again with our community!
