Just one thing to note is that there is added sugar in them, so if youre limiting this for little ones under 1, you may just want to be mindful of portions. What Can I Add To No

This No-Bake Granola Bars recipe is pretty simple. However, here are a few variations you might like to try:

  • Add mini chocolate chips. Meaghan says If I had this to do over again Id mix chocolate chips directly into the mixture after adding the oats. The M& Ms have a tendency to fall off when youre biting into them andwhy say no to more chocolate?
  • Stir in rainbow sprinkles. Rainbows are so trendy right now and adding sprinkles will make the granola bars super colorful and fun.
  • Go nuts. Add finely chopped peanuts, almonds or walnuts.
  • Get fruity. Try mixing in dried raisins or dried cranberries.

How Many Oats Do I Use For No

The recipe calls for 2 1/2 to 3 cups of quick oats. So how do you know how much to actually use? Meaghan says, I start with 2 1/2 cups of oats just to make sure my mixture isnt too dry.

If youre able to easily coat the oats and the mixture still looks pretty wet add the remaining oats and stir again to coat. You should have to put some elbow grease into mixing but you should be able to easily coat everything. If you cant then you added too many oats.

Healthy Protein Balls Oatmeal And So Much More

These are one of the best toddler snacks. Basically, theyre no bake cookies packed with goodness. The oats provide protein and fiber, as well as being a source of thiamine, magnesium, phosphorus, and zinc. The chickpeas bring in more protein and fiber as well as calcium, iron, magnesium, and potassium. Lemon adds a dash of vitamin C, coconut brings healthy fats, and the blackberries and açai powder are antioxidants warriors. All of it combines for a great immune system boost.

This healthy recipe will ensure your little ones are getting the most amount of nutrients to tackle anything that comes their way. For this healthy treat recipe I used Vivio Junior Multivitamin tonic is also a great way to support a healthy diet too. It contains 12 vitamins, zinc and iodine and is suitable from 1 year+ to support their immunity, growth and development. If you dont have this in your area, you can add a kid friendly tonic from your local health store.

Toss together oats, chickpeas, and coconut in a food processor. Add coconut oil, lemon, maple syrup, and açai powder. Mix in blackberries and roll the dough into balls. Refrigerate for a couple of hours and serve!
