Elf Blush Gems Baked Highlighter Review
- by Ankita Das
Elf is an affordable, nice quality beauty and cosmetics company. Overall the packaging is on the border but the quality and price of the product are quite good. Many makeup gurus swear by its products. Watching You Tube videos compelled me to try my hands on its products. I am happy that my money did not go down the drain. Most of the products turned out to be satisfactory although there were a few disappointments. Here I am reviewing ELF baked highlighter in blushed gems.

Elf Baked Highlighter Apricot Glow 017 Oz : Highlighter Cheeks Makeup Beauty
To design a brand-new highlighter that could bring the sunkissed look of summer to wearable and breathable life. You can use this to add a cheeky glow to your face or even highlight your cheekbones using a fan brush. Instead of any obvious shiny deposits, this creamy gel highlighter simply adds a touch of natural radiance to deeper skin tones wherever you apply it. I only need to dab once into the highlighter pad and then it applies so much product on the face. In search of a drugstore highlighter created with naturally derived ingredients? Seriously, i cannot live without my clionadh highlighters. A multi purpose highlighter that creates shimmering accents, soft contours and flattering highlights on all skin tones. In my opinion, the beaming light highlighters are perfect to use before taking photos. While champagne and pearl highlighters look natural with light or fair skin tones, shimmery bronze, like this molten topaz, are a better natural glow option for darker skin tones. This is a great highlighter at a decent price when compared to the other expensive ones which serve the same purpose.

Elf Is Launching Its First New Highlighter Shade In 6 Years And It’s Gorgeous
If you haven’t used E.L.F.’s Baked Highlighter, your cheekbones have been missing out on one of best drugstore illuminators. The baked pigment is a cult favorite thanks to its rich color payoff and affordable price point.
Now, for the first time in six years, the brand is extending its Baked Highlighter range with a new shade called Apricot Glow and we have an exclusive look! We caught up with Global Artistic Director Achelle Richards-Dunaway, who shared that the extension came to life because E.L.F.’s fans specifically requested an apricot iteration of its famous highlighter. The fan request isn’t too surprising, considering the peach color palette is one of the season’s hottest trends.
My Experience With Elf Blush Gems Baked Highlighter:
Packaging:It comes in a plastic circular container with a transparent lid. The lid is dome shaped same as the product. On top of the lid ELF Baked highlighter is printed. The product looks same as all the baked products look like. It is stuck to a black base. The black base has a silver sticker at its back with product code and shade name mentioned. The amount of product is 4gm, which for the price is amazing.
The packaging all in all is sturdy. The lid closes with a click sound and would not open if travelling. The product did not separate from its base while travelling. There is one flaw though, the top may break if little bit extra pressure is applied.
Texture:Like all the baked products, the highlighter is also hard. Looking at the product it appears to have chunky glitters and a lot of shimmer. Well, when I took a swatch there were no visible glitter/shimmer only a nice glow. It transferred evenly and could grab a lot of product in one swatch. Being a hard product I thought this would be difficult. The product in the pan is textured. Powder is smooth and blendable. There is no spillage on dipping brush into the product. The product is neither powdery nor chalky or dry. It can be used both wet and dry. It is buildable when required. In the ingredient list it mentions that it has a lot of skin friendly oils but personally I did not find any immediate benefit. This may also be the reason the product is not drying on the skin.
