BAKER CITY On September 15, 2021, Baker City Police Department responded to a reported burglary of an unoccupied residence and shed located at 2610 Clark Street, Baker City, Oregon. It was reported that about $10,000.00 worth of miscellaneous tools and copper were stolen from the home and shed. Later that day it was learned that a subject had sold copper that matched the description of the stolen copper to B& K Auto Salvage and Recycling in Baker City.
On the morning hours of September 17, 2021, Baker City Police Department responded to a reported Robbery/Burglary that had just occurred at 1305 7th Street in Baker City. The homeowner had just arrived home from work and discovered a masked individual in his home. The suspect pointed a firearm at the homeowner and told him to back away and then fled the scene. It was later discovered that the firearm the suspect had was taken from the residence.
Other suspected stolen items that were not associated with either above case was also located. Police believe some of the items recovered most likely came from storage unit thefts over the course of this last year. Methamphetamine and items indicative of drug trafficking was also located.
