    Freezer Garlic Bread Recipe:

    • a loaf of French bread*
    • 1 cup of butter, softened
    • 2 cloves garlic, minced
    • salt and pepper to taste
    • optional: grated Parmesan cheese

*You can use store-bought French bread or use this foolproof, one-hour recipe to make your own. Its the recipe I use when I make it homemade. When Im short on time, I buy French bread to make this garlic bread.

Set out a loaf of French bread. Make cuts every inch or two down the loaf about 6/8ths of the way through. Dont cut all the way down to the bottom.

Soften the butter and mix with minced garlic and the seasonings. Spread the butter mixture down between the bread slices. If you want, you can sprinkle shredded Parmesan cheese in between the slices on top of the butter mixture.

Wrap the loaf in two layers of tin foil. Freeze.

To serve, take it out of the freezer. Keep the aluminum foil on it and place it in the oven. Cook at 350° for 15 minutes. Open the foil to allow the steam to release.

Change the oven temperature to 450° and put it back in the oven for another 10 minutes. Serve with spaghetti, pasta with Italian sausage sauce, or any other pasta freezer meal. Here are some freezer meals that pair perfectly with a side of garlic bread:

    • 1loaf of French bread
    • 1cupbuttersoftened
    • salt and pepper to taste
    • optional: grated Parmesan cheese
  • Set out a loaf of French bread. Make cuts every inch or two down the loaf about 6/8ths of the way through. Don’t cut all the way down to the bottom.

  • Wrap the loaf in two layers of tin foil. Freeze.

  • Bake The Homemade Garlic Bread

Now baste the tops of the bread very generously with the garlic butter. If you want cheesy garlic bread sprinkle cheese on top of that, generously. I just use a spatula or a spoon to spread the garlic butter on top of the bread.

I usually will make half with cheese and half without.

Bake the garlic bread for 12 to 18 minutes until golden brown all around the edges and lightly brown on top. Remove from the oven allow it to cool for a few minutes then place on a wire rack to cool completely.

Now you can leave the slices big, or cut them up even further. I usually will slice those slices in thirds. It makes it easier to eat and created more servings. I usually will get 12 servings from a 1 pound loaf.

    Enjoy!

Best Garlic Bread Tips And Tricks

    • Use the right bread. As previously discussed, French Bread will give you the ideal toasted, crispy exterior and soft interior.
    • Use fresh bread. Take care your bread is freshly baked the same day or it will be extra crunchy and crumbly.
    • Use real butter. Please dont use margarine as you can taste the difference! For the ultimate decadence, use French style butter. It has a hint of tangy nuttiness and most importantly, it has less water which results in richer, creamier, butter. You may reduce the butter to & frac13 cup if desired and the bread will be tasty but just not as decadent.
    • Use extra virgin olive oil. Use quality olive oil for maximum flavor.
    • Use fresh garlic. Garlic powder or jarred-garlic dont make for the BEST garlic bread. Jarred garlic can even taste sour due to the preservatives.
    • Bake AND broil. The baking gives time for the garlic itself to bake as well as for the butter to sink about half way down the loaf. The broiling elevates the warm bread to hot bread with an enveloping toasty crust.
    • Watch closely! Keep an eye on the bread as it broils as every oven is different. The Garlic Bread can go from golden to burnt very quickly. You may want to rotate the pan halfway through broiling if it is broiling unevenly.
    • Dont broil too much. If you are making cheesy Garlic Bread, I suggest not broiling too much because toasted cheese wont be as obey gooey delightful.

Check out this recipeWhat temperature to cook garlic bread in an air fryer?

Well, you can use any temperature from 350 0F to 400 0F to cook garlic bread. 350 0F takes much longer, whereas 400 0F is very quick and ideal for thin slices. But if you are using French baguette-style bread, 400 0F will not work best. The garlic toast will brown way before the interior softens and absorbs the garlic butter. That is why I recommend using the temperature of 3700F to cook garlic bread in an air fryer.

    Pros Of Using Air Fryers

Since air fryers have been taking the world by storm it must have more than a few pros to it! Air fryers are designed for the modern, busy, working-class of society.

The biggest pro is that air fryers work extremely fast and efficiently.

You dont have to first thaw the bread, you dont have to wait forever for the fryer to pre-heat, and the overall cooking time is also much shorter because of the effective technology that is used.

These appliances are also very easy to use. All you have to do is set the correct temperature and time, put your garlic bread inside and wait for it to finish.

The air fryer will automatically shut off once the timer has run out, preventing the bread from burning.

Another great benefit that not many people think about or consider is that air fryers dont have any hot spots.

Ovens on the other hand can sometimes be a nightmare! You have to constantly monitor your food, change the rack level and even try to prevent the food from burning in certain areas.

They are also much safer to use compared to ovens and dont take up as much kitchen space! You have a lower risk of burning yourself on the handle .

Another thing that makes air fryers convenient and easy to use is that they tend to be made from non-stick materials this also contributes to easy clean-up. You can simply wipe the basket out with a damp cloth.

And finally, one of the best aspects of owning and using an air fryer is the astonishingly easy clean-up!

Garlic Bread Guide – You Suck at Cooking (episode 98)

Depending on the shape and size of your store-bought frozen garlic bread, you may want to slice it into a few sections to help it fit into your specific air fryer.

Most frozen garlic breads already come pre-sliced though, so you probably just have to pull it into a few sections.

It is also important to lightly spray the air frying basket to prevent the bread from sticking to it when its cooking. Make sure you use an air-fryer-safe spray that wont damage your appliance.

Insert the thermometer into the center of the loaf, making sure not to touch the pan. The garlic bread is done when the internal temperature reaches 200 degrees Fahrenheit.
