Is Noel Coming Back To Bake Off This Season
Presenter Noel Fielding is returning to The Great British Bake Off this season following parental leave.
He and wife Lliana Bird welcomed their second child in 2020.
Their older daughter Dali was born in 2018, and younger sister Iggy was born in 2020.
Judges Prue Leith and Paul Hollywood, and host Matt Lucas, are all back for the new season as well.

Broadcast And Personnel Changes
On 17 August 2010, the first episode of The Great British Bake Off was shown on BBC Two. It stayed on BBC Two for four years, grew in popularity and became the most popular programme on that channel. In its fifth series it was moved to BBC One where it stayed for three years. It was the most-watched programme on British television in 2015 and 2016. Following extended negotiations, Love Productions announced that the seventh series of the show would be the last broadcast by the BBC. On 12 September 2016, Love agreed to a three-year deal to broadcast the show on Channel 4. However, BBC Studios still owns the global distribution rights to the show, which are set for renewal in 2028. Giedroyc and Perkins subsequently announced that they would not be returning when the show moved to its new network. On 22 September 2016, Berry announced that she would also be leaving the show when it moved to Channel 4, while Hollywood later announced he would stay. In March 2017, it was announced that Prue Leith would join Hollywood as a judge, while Noel Fielding and Sandi Toksvig would take over as presenters. After 3 years presenting the show, Toksvig announced her departure in 2020, and was replaced by Matt Lucas.
The Great Celebrity Bake Off 2022 Hosts
Noel Fielding and Matt Lucas return to host the Stand Up to Cancer specials although one episode saw Matt Lucas become a contestant himself after a celebrity baker pulled out.
“I was forced to bake by my bosses at the last minute when one of the bakers became unavailable,” Lucas said in a statement. “I cant tell you how happy I was that my humiliation was caught on camera.”

Yes, really. We’re just as crushed as you are. How do I know what four ounces of butter looks like? It still doesnt excuse the fact I used 25 eggs at one stage

Im a patron of a pancreatic cancer charity so I thought: This will be great, some money might trickle down to them and theyll be able to find an early diagnosis test.
Were you proud of any of your bakes from the show?
The signature dish was scones, which was quite fun because I introduced England to Switzerland, making savoury scones with Gruyère and Wiltshire cheese. It gave them an interesting little taste.
