Discovering The Pampered Chef: Amazing Baked Potato Soup!

See ingredients below for the variety of recipes to use a deep covered baker from Pampered Chef. Place the roast in the baker. Add potatoes, carrots, onions, celery, salt and pepper.     I love every thing, but I have food allergies to some of the ingredients like Pepper Garlic marinade anything hot and spicy they make me very ill for 2 days. So can some of them be skipped from the recipe if I made them?

    I leave out ingredients all the time due to family food allergies. The only time you cant do it is when the ingredient contributes to the chemical reaction or the texture or structure , but you can usually find a substitute for those ingredients when that is the case. For example, we make pesto without any nuts. It works just fine! I make up for a little loss of thickness by adding extra cheese, but I have also made it with no cheese and it comes out as a lovely basil/olive oil sauce thats great on pasta or fish. I have even made it with cilantro instead of basil. Dont be afraid to experiment!Good luck!

    you added sweet potato puree to the califlower soup. how much puree did you make? what is the difference between that and the sweet potato soup recipe? looks wonderful.

    Hi. How would I turn the cauliflower soup into pumpkin soup? Ive never had pumpkin soup, but pictures in cookbooks and online always make it look good.I like your easy biscuit recipe too!

  • How To Make Crispy Potato Peels In An Air Fryer

    I will NEVER throw my potato peels away again! Not only do these crispy potato peels make a great topping for potato soup, they are also a great little snack! I like them better than potato chips!

    Make sure to keep your potato peels in cold water until you are going to air crisp/ air fry them or they will turn brown.

    Preheat your air fryer on its hottest setting with the basket in for a full 10 minutes.

    Pat the skins dry and spritz with oil of your choice. I prefer canola or avocado oil because they don’t impart any flavor. Season the strips lightly with salt and pepper and place them in the air fryer basket.

    Air crisp or air fry on 360°F/180°C for 10 minutes. Make sure to toss them around and separate the peels every 2 minutes so they get evenly crispy. Allow to cool on a cooling rack. Enjoy!

    How To Make Loaded Potato Soup In A Pressure Cooker

    Peel and dice the potatoes into small pieces — about 2″ cubes . Put the potato peels into cold water if you want to air crisp them for a topping. Roast the garlic. Chop the white part of the green onions if using. Dice the sweet or yellow onion into a small dice about ½”. Chop the celery into small pieces.

    In the inner pot, sauté the onions and celery with butter over medium heat until they are translucent in color. If you are making crispy bacon for your toppings, you can use the bacon grease instead of butter.

    Add in the bacon slices , diced potatoes, seasonings, 1½ cups of chicken stock , and roasted garlic. Put the pressure lid on and turn the valve to seal.

    Pressure cook on high for 2 minutes with a 5 minute natural release. If you are doubling or tripling the recipe, extend the natural release to 10 minutes.

    Remove the strips of bacon and mash the potatoes up until the soup is the consistency you like. You can do this with a hand masher, immersion blender, hand mixer or let the soup cool and use a regular blender. Use a hand masher or this mix ‘n mash tool for a chunkier soup.

    Add in the cream and stir. If the soup is too thick, add a little more chicken stock or cream until it is the consistency you like.

    Serve with your favorite toppings.

    – 8 slices bacon, fried crisp – 1 cup diced onions – 2/3 cup flour – 6 cups chicken broth – 4 cups peeled baked potatoes – 2 cups light cream

    Cut potatoes into one-inch cubes. Chop onion. Add all ingredients to slow cooker except heavy cream. Cook on low for 7 hours. Add cream and stir. Blend mixture with mixer. Leave lumpy. Cook low an additional 30 minutes. Serve with cheese and bacon crumbles.

    Can I Freeze This Potato Soup For Later

    This recipe was made for an 8 qt Instant Pot, so it does make a large amount of soup. Ive been asked if left over Baked Potato Soup can be stored in the freezer and I dont see why not?

    Tip for Freezing Soup: If you plan to freeze this soup, I would recommend cutting the potatoes into larger chunks and freezing a portion immediately after cooking.

    The longer the potatoes are in the liquid, they tend to thicken and turn into mashed potatoes. Add more broth or milk if this happens and it will still taste amazing and be less thick.

    How To Make Pampered Chef Loaded Baked Potato Chowder

    Everything you need to make this yumminess get started!

    I usually start off by peeling the potatoes, but you can omit that step if youd prefer to have the skins in the soup. Slice the potatoes in half lengthwise, in place them in the baker.

    Add the 1/2 cup of milk to the baker, and put in the microwave. Microwave, covered, on HIGH for 11 minutes.

    While the potatoes are in the microwave, whisk the softened cream cheese in the Pampered chef classic batter bowl until smooth.

    When the potatoes are done with the first 11 minutes, rotate them so that the center potatoes are on the outside. After this is done, recover the baker and microwave on HIGH for 8-11 minutes.

    When the potatoes are done, mash them coarsely. I used the Mix N Chop by Pampered Chef.

    After the potatoes are mashed, pour in the milk/cream cheese mixture and add the butter. Microwave, covered, on HIGH for 3-5 minutes, or until mixture is hot.

    After everything is nice and hot, add your shredded cheese , salt and pepper, and combine everything until the cheese is melted. Add other toppings cooked 🙂
