What Breaks Down Grease And Oil
Cake on grease is a common problem for many people who own deep fryers. It happens because the oils used to deep fry food get absorbed into the surface of the metal parts of the fryer. This creates a thick layer of greasy residue that needs to be removed from the fryer. To remove the cake on grease, you can either scrub it off with a wire brush or soak it in warm water overnight. Once the grease has been soaked off, rinse the fryer thoroughly with hot water.

How To Clean An Air Fryer
1. First of all, follow what your manufacturer recommends. Check your manual and see if theres any advice on how to clean your air fryer. If steps are given, you should follow them to avoid invalidating the warranty.
2. If no advice is given, the first thing you should do is unplug the air fryer and let it cool completely. The basket/racks will be extremely hot after frying and you could easily burn yourself. If you want to speed up the cooling process, you can carefully remove the basket or racks and leave them in the sink.
3. Once cool, you can clean the basket/racks. You can wash these in warm soapy water and use a sponge or soft-bristled brush to scrub away any residue. Dont use metal utensils or steel wool to scrub, as this can damage the non-stick coating. If theres any burnt-on residue, you can leave the basket or racks to soak in the soapy water prior to cleaning for 20 minutes. Use a toothbrush if theres difficult to reach crevices. Rinse and leave the basket/racks out to fully dry. Alternatively, if these parts are dishwasher-safe according to the manual, you can do this instead.
4. If the outside of your air fryer looks a bit grubby, take a damp microfiber cloth and wipe it over with a small amount of dish soap. Then, rinse away the soap with another cloth.
8. Leave your air fryer to completely dry before re-assembling.
Your air fryer should now be spotless. Make sure its fully dried before you start using it again.

How I Removed Baked
First, I turned the pan upside down in my kitchen sink, and sprayed it with plain water.
Then I sprinkled the cleanser over the bottom and sides of the skillet
And gave it a gentle rub with a Scotch Brite Non-Scratch sponge.
Since the powdered cleanser didnt cover the sides of skillet terribly well, I then mixed up a not-too-thick solution of Bar Keepers Friend and water, and poured it over the pan, letting the slurry run over the sides. I left the slurry to soak for 5 minutes.
Then I rubbed the bottom and sides of the pan with the Scotch Brite sponge. Already the scorch marks and grease were starting to loosen up. I let the pan rest again for 5 minutes, still covered in the sudsy solution.
Another gentle scrubbing, et voila! the bottoms and sides of the pan looked as clean as the day the skillet was born!
Then I flipped the pan over, and sponged the slurry over the badly-stained rivets. These, too, rubbed clean after a 5-minute soak.
Here is the skillet, all shiny and dry. So shiny, in fact, that it reflects a bimbo in a green sweatshirt taking a picture.
The inside of the skillet looks as good as the outside. Needless to say, Bar Keepers Friend is now MY friend. Today I ran out and purchased 2 more cans of the stuff. You know, just in case theres a run on the product after people read this post. For which I am not being paid.
